One of my best memories of my trips is a breakfast with porcelain tableware and home made jam in the elegant dining room of a splendid farm in the middle of the English countryside. We slept in an antique canopied bed, the bedroom was almost bigger than the apartment we were living and the bath had an real bathtub on legs. When we arrived to the farm it was already dark and their lovely owners were waiting to give us the keys because they were going out for dinner. So with all the confidence they left us alone in that huge house. At that time almost nobody used to travel independently, getting in touch with the hotels through the Internet, even the owners of the Bed and Breakfast asked us how we dared to travel this way. It was a romantic and wonderful trip, the first one of many that my husband has organized since then. This trip is the reason why I feel a special affection for Great Britain.
The fact is that the Jubilee of the Queen and London Olympics have made this a “very English” year. Magazines, books, blogs and websites have been filled with crafts on an English theme. This is my choice of the most beautiful things I have seen in recent months.

Saludos.
