Cuellos de punto y un bordado / Knit cowls and an emboridery

 

Tengo entre manos varias cosas entre encargos y un proyecto que me lleva mucho tiempo y del que os hablaré pronto, pero hago lo posible por seguir haciendo cosas para relajarme y disfrutar.

 

I’m working on several things, some orders and a project that takes me a long time and of which I will tell you soon. But anyway I do my best for doing things to relax and enjoy.

 

 

 

Me apunté al curso de punto online de Wasel Wasel. Ya sabéis que tejer no es lo mío, me cuesta mucho aprender sola, así que me ha venido genial. Conocí a Gemma este verano cuando me apunté a un par de cursos que impartía ella en el II Encuentro Nacional de Amigurumi y me pareció una profesora estupenda. La verdad es que se explica muy bien y estoy aprendiendo mucho. Para practicar he hecho unos cuellos.

 

I followed the online knitting course by Wasel Wasel. You already know that I’m not so good at knitting, it’s difficult to learn a lot by myself. So it was great for me. I met Gemma this summer when I followed a couple of courses she gave at the II National Amigurumi Meeting and she seemed to me a marvellous teacher. The truth is that she’s a good explainer and I’m learning very much. To practise I have made some cowls.

Este lo tejí para mi y luego mi hija quiso uno igual.

 

I knitted this one for myself and then my daughter wanted one.

El patrón lo saqué de un libro que tengo, pero es muy sencillo; se trata de intercalar tantas vueltas del derecho como del revés. Queda un efecto “acordeón” muy esponjoso. El de Ana lleva dos vueltas del derecho, dos vueltas del revés y el mío tres. Ella lo quería muy ajustado y yo ancho.

 

I took the pattern from a book I have, but it’s very simple; the question is to knit and purl alternatively the same rows. The result is a very spongy “accordion” effect. I knitted two and purled two for Ana’s and three for mine. She perferred it very tight and I preferred it loose.

 

También quería hacer un cuello con el punto Herringbone. Podéis ver aquí cómo se teje, aunque con agujas circulares es distinto. Me costó mucho aclararme, pero finalmente encontré este vídeo que lo explica muy bien. He utilizado dos lanas juntas. Se lo vi a mi amiga Sophie y me encantó. Últimamente no me pierdo ninguna merienda craft de las que organiza con el resto de Las Muniecas en Valencia. Me lo pasó muy bien, descanso y encima aprendo de mis amigas. Si vivís por aquí animaros a venir y si no, buscad quien lo organice en vuestra ciudad. Es la mejor cura antiestrés.

 

I also wanted to knit a Herringbone stitch cowl. You can see here how it is knitted, though it’s different if you use circular needles. It was hard for me to learn, but finally I found this video that explains it very well. I used two yarns togheter. I saw my friend Sophie knitting this stitch and I loved it. Recently I don’t miss any “craft snack” organized by Las Muniecas in Valencia. I have a great time, I relax and besides I learn of from my friends. If you live hereabouts you have to come and if not, find out who organizes it in your city. It’s the best anti-stress treatment.

 

También he hecho un cuadro bordado con aplicaciones. Diseñé estas muñecas hace un año pero todavía no las había cosido. Hace un mes hice con ellas un pequeño quilt que ya os enseñaré (estoy esperando que llegue a su destinataria) y como quedó bonito he querido repetir.

 

I have also made an embroidered frame with appliques. I designed these dolls one year ago but I still had not sewed them. One month ago I made with them a small quilt I will show you soon (I am wating it arrives to the addressee) and as the result was nice I wanted to repeat it.
