I spend so much time in front of the computer that my chair was very spoiled. So I decided to recover it. Now it looks great!
Some friends gave me a lot of fabrics, but among them I loved precisely one with flowers I did not have enough, so I have combined it with a plain one. This was the state of the chair:
1- First thing is to disassemble the chair and get the pattern for the lining: a piece for the seat and three for the backrest: front, back and edge. I made them in paper and then copy on the fabrics.
2-The lining for the seat is a piece that wraps it, including the edge, and is adjusted with a rubber band. So we should sew the hem and pass the rubber band through.
3- On the other hand, sew the front of the backrest to the edge (a rectangle that in my case is a piece of 3 cm. of width and as long as the edge of the backrest) and then the edge to the back, placing a zipper at the bottom so it will be posible to take the backrest out and wash.
4- As the backrest is screwed through the cover, I made holes with a punch so the fabric does not tear.
¡Listo! Me gusta el cambio; ¿a vosotros?
Ready! I like the result, do you?
