Varias cosas. / Some things.

 

Estos últimos meses están siendo una locura con la puesta en marcha de The Crafty Room, aunque también muy enriquecedores. Cada paso que damos nos llena de alegría y el cansancio es bueno, fruto de un trabajo creativo en el que estamos poniendo mucho amor e ilusión.

 

Last months have been crazy with the start-up of The Crafty Room, although they have also been very rewarding. We enjoy every step we take and the tiredness is a good thing beacuse it is the result of a creative work we are doing with lots of love and enthusiasm. 

Poco a poco tenemos más alumnos, nos conoce más gente y salen proyectos y encargos. Pero como me advirtió mi amiga Gemma, de Wasel Wasel, hay que tener paciencia porque los comienzos son difíciles. Para darnos a conocer y como “declaración de principios” estamos organizando una urban knitting y no puedo estar más contenta porque llevar a cabo una acción craft con amigos y crafters es fantástico, “puro espíritu The Crafty Room“. Si estáis en Valencia o alrededores, acercaos a la Plaza de Honduras el 11 de mayo por la mañana 😉

 

Every day we have more and more pupils, we are best known and new projects and orders grow. But as my friend Gemma, from Wasel Wasel, warned me, it is neccesary to be patient because the beginnings are difficult. To get ourselves known and as a declaration of principles we are organizing an urban knitting. And I cannot  be more satisfied because it is great to carry out a craft action with friends and crafters, “pure spirit The Crafty Room“. If you are in Valencia or the surrounding area, come to Plaza de Honduras on May 11 in the morning 😉

Aunque no me queda mucho tiempo, sigo haciendo encargos en Deshilachado y probando técnicas nuevas. Me empeñé en aprender a tejer vueltas cortas y he hecho este precioso cuello con un patrón de The Purl Bee.

 

Although I do not have much time, I keep on preparing orders on Deshilachado and trying new techniques. I insisted on learning to knit short rows and I have made this precious cowl with a pattern by The Purl Bee.

Y aprovecho los ratos antes de dormir para hacer pequeñas cosas que me relajen. He buscado ideas en los libros que tengo, esos que compro entusiasmada y que nunca tengo tiempo de ver con calma. He decidido que los tengo que aprovechar más y cuando no tienes tiempo está bien que te den en bandeja ideas y patrones, ¿verdad?

 

And I use the time before going to bed to make little things that relax me. I have looked for ideas on the books I have, those I buy filled with enthusiasm but I never have time to see them calmly. I have decided that I should take advantage of them. When you have no time it is great if somebody  gives you the ideas and patterns, isn’t it? 

 

 

 

De todas formas no escarmiento y el fin de semana pasado estuve en Creativa, que se celebró en Valencia. Compré telas de patchwork, como no, y un capricho detrás del que iba desde hace tiempo, un tricotín. Me alegro de que Creativa venga de nuevo a Valencia. Tuvo muchísimo público, así que espero que repitan.

 

Anyway I do not learn my lesson and last weekend I was at Creativa fair, that took place in Valencia. I bought fabrics for patchwork, indeed, and a fancy I have been wanting for a long time, a “tricotín”. I am glad that Creativa takes place again in Valencia. There was so many people, so I hope it will be back next year.
