Last weekend took place in Valencia the Fireta d’Estiu, a fair for products hand-made by local designers, organized by Knit & Fun. I was really looking forward going to an event like this in my city, especially after seeing the artists who were taking part in the fair, so last Sunday’s hot morning my daughter and I went there.

Knit &Fun is the project of Maje, Sunny and Eva, with which they try to share their interest for needlecrafts and other crafts through meetings, workshops, fairs… Their aim is to have fun, learn and share with others the artists they like.

It’s hard to me to decide where to start because I am excited by all I found at the Fireta. The first thing you could see were My Coconut Dog‘s purses, full of color and with a modern and simple design.

oh so sunny (a mi hija le encantaron y le compré un anillo que no se quita) y preciosas joyas de ganchillo de Mericheis.
Soon I came across Sunny and Maje, two of the organizers of the fair. They told me a little about them and about their project, with which they are very involved and satisfy. Of course, there were also some of their works: funny brooches and felt rings by oh so sunny (my daughter loved them and I bought her a ring that she still hasn’t taken off) and precious crochet jewels by Mericheis‘s.

I expected to know Las Sandalias de Ana, one of my favorite crafters, but she was not in person. Even so, I enjoyed her dolls and took a ballerina (of course!) and a little brooch for my pretty niece.

MoonRose Handmade‘s complements are a delight. The photos doesn’t show how beautiful they are, you have to visit her blog’s gallery.

I have no words for Gusosos Land. Raquel is illustrator and graphical designer. With her wonderful drawings she makes cards, dolls, badges… But what I liked the most were her embroideries.

Ana and I loved Cuartadeseis‘s dolls, funny versions of children’s drawings.

I had a great time with Eva Carot, the third component of Knit & Fun. I’ve adored her illustrations through her blog Bleu Blau for a long time, I’m a fan. And it turned out she was so funny and sweet as when I read her.

If I tell you about every stall I will never finish, so I leave here some photos with the links of other marvellous crafters who were at the Fireta, some I already knew in the network. If you want to know more, you have them all on Knit & Fun.

And this was our shopping. I had a really good time, I hope to repeat soon.
